About Faire
Faire Collective, a distinguished direct-to-consumer label, emerges as a testament to over three decades of industry expertise. Founded in Singapore by the dynamic duo of Joseph Lor and Ryan Choy, Faire Collective seamlessly blends style with functionality, presenting a curated range designed to accompany individuals through every day of the year.
The brand's product philosophy revolves around two core principles, epitomized by their commitment to polished exteriors and effortless organization. Diverging from the rugged approaches of competitors, Faire Collective's products showcase clean lines and refined aesthetics. The emphasis on effortless organization is apparent in the thoughtful incorporation of compartments, pockets, and smart functions, ensuring that every item is well-kept and easily accessible to cater to diverse everyday needs.
At the heart of Faire Collective lies a rich history of quality, rooted in Joseph's family legacy of crafting leather products for over three decades. Drawing upon a wealth of experience working with various materials, hardware, and bag-making processes, the brand embodies a commitment to quality that transcends mere pricing considerations. Faire Collective proudly carries forward the same level of craftsmanship and knowhow into a new era.
Distinguishing itself further, Faire Collective is fully and vertically integrated. Owning and operating its own factory – a facility that has produced for numerous luxury brands – the brand bypasses manufacturer fees and sample production costs. This integration allows Faire Collective to forge strong relationships with suppliers, optimize material usage, and leverage the expertise of their craftsmen in an efficient leather-cutting process. The resultant cost savings are then passed on directly to their customers, ensuring that Faire Collective's products are not only stylish but also accessible.
The genesis of Faire Collective traces back to a casual conversation over drinks, a moment that sparked a journey to address a fundamental problem faced by modern professionals. Fueled by the desire to create a bag that seamlessly blends external polish with internal organization, Ryan Choy and Joseph Lor embarked on a mission to reimagine the conventional briefcase structure. This endeavor led to the birth of Faire, a brand committed to designing products with a focus on functionality, incorporating feedback from focus groups through multiple iterations.
Powered by a unique advantage – ownership of the manufacturing facility – Faire Collective defied expectations. The brand went live on Kickstarter in November 2017, emerging as the most funded campaign in Singapore out of over 700 projects. Within a remarkably short span, Faire Collective achieved its two-year sales target of $1,000,000 in under 10 months, solidifying its place in history.
As Faire Collective continues to evolve, CEO Ryan Choy pledges an unwavering commitment to improvement and innovation. The brand remains dedicated to being the companion that takes individuals through each day of the week, crafting products that seamlessly transition from Monday to Sunday.
